What’s the purpose of this role?

The purpose of the Senior Solution Architect SAP MDG is to enable and drive the design and implementation of SAP MDG solutions in a global tobacco and consumer goods environment. This includes creating
- quality master data and ensuring regulatory compliance, as well as integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP MDG solutions that drive high data quality and regulatory compliance, enabling reliable data for business operations and analytics.
• Architect the integration of SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA to ensure seamless data flow across the application ecosystem and analytics systems.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to define and enforce master data standards, ensuring enterprise master data integrity and trusted data for
  - making.
• Provide technical leadership in master data initiatives, aligning solutions with industry best practices to
  - proof the enterprise architecture.
• Contribute to enterprise agility by enabling governed data processes that adapt to new business requirements and regulatory changes.

What is needed to succeed in this Role?

• Hands-on experience designing and configuring SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for Material, Customer, Supplier, and Finance master data (MDG-M, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-F), including data models, workflow processes, and BRF+ validations.
• Familiarity with SAP MDG integration with SAP S/4HANA (including S/4HANA Retail, S/4HANA CFIN) to ensure
  - wide master data consistency.
• Strong knowledge of MDG’s Data Replication Framework (DRF) for distributing master data, with experience integrating via IDoc, RFC, BAPI and web services (SOAP/OData).
• Solid understanding of core SAP ERP master data and processes in MM, SD, and FI to align MDG configurations with business needs.
• Proficiency in enhancing MDG functionality using ABAP (BAd
  Is and user exits) and customizing MDG UIs (e. g. , SAP Fiori) according to SAP best practices.
• Experience in multiple
  -
  - end SAP MDG implementation projects (3–5 years), with exposure to upgrades or migrations (e. g. , ECC to S/4HANA) and master data migration.
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) services for master data governance and integration (e. g. , SAP Integration Suite) to extend or integrate MDG solutions.
• Excellent analytical,
  - solving, and
  - making skills, with superb communication and collaboration abilities.
