Purpose of the Role

The Senior Solution Architect SAP MDG is responsible for enabling and driving high data quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient master data processes across PMI’s global tobacco and consumer goods environment.

• Design and implement SAP MDG solutions that drive high data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Architect integration of SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless data flow across the application ecosystem and analytics systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Information Technology, Functions, Data & Analytics) to define and enforce master data standards, ensuring enterprise master data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership in master data initiatives, aligning solutions with industry best practices and standards.
• Contribute to enterprise agility by enabling efficient, governed data processes that adapt quickly to new business requirements and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience designing and configuring SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for Material, Customer, Supplier, and Finance master data (MDG‑M, MDG‑C, MDG‑S, MDG‑F), including defining data models, workflow processes, and business rule validations (BRF+).
• Familiarity with SAP MDG integration with SAP S/4HANA (including S/4HANA Retail, S/4HANA CFIN) to ensure enterprise‑wide master data consistency.
• Strong knowledge of MDG’s Data Replication Framework (DRF) for distributing master data to target systems, with experience integrating via IDoc, RFC, BAPI, SOAP/OData.
• Solid understanding of core SAP ERP master data and processes in modules like MM, SD, and FI.
• Proficient in enhancing and extending MDG functionality using ABAP (implementing BAd
  Is and user exits) and customizing MDG user interfaces, e. g. , SAP Fiori apps.
• Involved in multiple end‑to‑end SAP MDG implementation projects (3–5 years of MDG experience) and exposure to system upgrades or migrations.
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) services for master data governance and integration.
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with a solid focus on collaboration and partner management.
