Senior Specialist, Research & Data Services (Technology, Media and Telecoms, Amsterdam)

Location: Amsterdam (hybrid work environment). Reporting to a Senior Manager located in Frankfurt. Based in Amsterdam and part of a
- cultural team of 10, supporting the Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) practice and TMT case teams across EMEA.

What You’ll Do

As a research expert within Research and Data Services (RDS), you will provide desktop research to consulting staff and the TMT practice using traditional and alternative data sources. One of your key goals will be to develop deep expertise in navigating and leveraging these sources effectively. You will work closely with multiple consulting teams to assist in research planning, training, information gathering and delivery. A full onboarding program will be tailored for you. You will work on a broad range of
- industry and economic topics to build your knowledge across Bain’s core practice areas, while specializing in TMT. Working as part of the EMEA TMT team, you will develop expert level knowledge in that sector through coaching, training, and collaboration with the Practice team and colleagues across EMEA. You will also contribute to ongoing evaluations of data solutions and support resource development initiatives, including their implementation.

Research and Data Services is a team of information professionals who specialize in secondary research and work alongside Bain’s consulting teams to provide high quality results for our clients. You will be part of a hybrid environment with a team of 10 people, supporting the TMT practice across EMEA.

About You

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Information Science or equivalent
• 3-4 years working experience in business information research in a consulting, financial services, accounting, or equivalent firm is preferred
• Experience and knowledge of the Technology, Media and Telecoms sectors
• Fluency in English
• Experience with core research tools, such as Factiva and LSEG
• Can-do attitude, a proactive approach and a strong desire to learn new skills
• Analytical mindset,
  - solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional,
  - focused attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with senior business executives and team colleagues across the region
