TL;DR

Photoroom is looking for a talented Senior/Staff Applied Scientist. You will work on several ML solutions, from requirements to product delivery. You will own most of this process, be trusted, and contribute to an open‑source diffusion model from scratch.

About the Role

• You will be the eleventh engineer in the ML team, working alongside great talent from various backgrounds.
• You will have full ownership of your ML work streams, with a say in data acquisition, labeling, overall strategy and follow‑ups.
• You will master the entire pipeline, from training models to deployment and monitoring.
• Work on new features, applications, and 0→1 solutions.
• Iterate quickly with fast feedback from users.
• Collaborate with a small multicultural team of ~75 passionate, friendly & committed folks.

About You

• 3+ years of experience with Py
  Torch, Tensorflow or Jax, with a preference for Py
  Torch.
• Extensive experience with diffusion models for image creation or editing, including training from scratch or deep‑surgery beyond pre‑training.
• Pragmatic, speed‑of‑iteration oriented, leveraging frameworks & libraries.
• Experience with complex product architectures.
• Strong sense of ownership and initiative.
• Teamwork experience in a fast‑growing startup.
• Fluent in English (French not required).
