We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Product Marketing Manager to join us in Lisbon, Portugal.
ZEISS has had a presence in Portugal since 2005 and employs over 300 staff at the sites in Lisbon, Setúbal and Porto. Carl Zeiss Vision Portugal is committed to innovation and quality in eyeglass lens manufacturing. In addition to these sites, there is also the Global HUB in Lisbon, which acts as an extension to the global departments for the Vision Care business.
Your Role
The Senior Strategic Product Marketing Manager for the Ophthalmic Lenses is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive the commercial success of existing & new spectacle lenses. This role involves deep collaboration with the Global Product Manager and various teams, including Country Commercial Marketing Teams, Global Marketing Operations and Global Brand Management, to ensure the product is effectively positioned and promoted across global markets. The role of Senior Strategic Product Marketing Manager will involve:
- Lead the development and execution of global marketing strategies for the ophthalmic lenses portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Product Manager and
- functional teams to define and enhance product value propositions. - Oversee portfolio strategy and lifecycle management, ensuring competitiveness and relevance in the global marketplace.
- Analyze market data and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive strategic

- market planning and campaign execution in collaboration with global and local marketing teams. - Partner with Global Brand Management to ensure brand consistency and impactful messaging across all touchpoints.
- Support the creation of compelling marketing content, sales tools, and training materials to support local market success.
- Act as a key liaison with country commercial teams to ensure seamless product launches and campaign rollouts.
- Monitor and report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate workshops, deliver
- level presentations, and contribute to strategic planning sessions with clarity and influence.
Your Experience
As a Senior Strategic Product Marketing Manager you will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or related field
- Product marketing, digital marketing, or market research qualifications advantageous.

5 years work experienceof Product Marketing Management (preferably in eye care). - Ideally practical experience in the optical industry or Product Management for Medical products
- Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with market trends and organizational goals. - Market Analysis Expertise:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends. - Cross-Functional Experience:
