Job Description:

ABOUT THE JOB

• Provide
  - departmental assurance of the required service quality.
• Deliver services according to the service definition or the design and quality agreed with the customer.
• Plan, deploy, and test new releases within the system architecture and customize systems in coordination with customers or developers.
• Support
  - specific tasks during application migrations.
• Analyse existing systems for performance and utilization, advising on cost optimization and tuning.
• Develop and implement backup and restart procedures.
• Create and monitor compliance with privacy and data security standards.
• Manage system access rights.
• Automate operational tasks.
• Maintain
  -
  - date documentation of systems and components.
• Administer Hardware Management Console (HMC) for IBM Power-Server.
• Plan, deploy, and test system migrations in coordination with customers.
• Develop system monitoring and Unix system programming.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with external service providers.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience in IT service management (ITIL).
• Ability to work effectively in international teams.
• Quick learner with the ability to understand complex systems.
• Experience with problem determination in relevant environments.
• Proficiency in German and English, preferably with German native speaker skills.
• Willingness to be on call (24/7) and travel as needed.
• High initiative and sense of responsibility.
• Strong customer service orientation.
