1. ROLESenior System Engineer2. PURPOSEAs a Senior System Engineer within the Operational Team, you contribute to the successful delivery of
- quality, secure, and efficient infrastructure and system solutions. Your focus lies in maintaining and supporting critical environments while actively driving improvements in automation, documentation, and technical excellence. You identify client expectations by engaging directly with them and translate their operational needs into stable and scalable implementations under the guidance of the Team Lead. 3. DIMENSIONS OF THE JOBYou ensure infrastructure operations run according to defined procedures and planning, maintaining stability, reliability, and security across environments. You contribute proactively to task completion and process improvement within a defined scope. 4. KEY RESULT AREAS1. Operational Infrastructure Excellence
Aim: Ensure system availability, operational stability, and compliance. - Provide Level 2 support for infrastructure and hardware systems. - Conduct proactive patching and vulnerability mitigation. - Troubleshoot issues in alignment with ISA‑95, PURDUE, or other industry standards. - Implement new infrastructure according to company standards. 2. Automation & Technical Innovation
Aim: Improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation. - Contribute to scripting efforts (e. G. , Power
Shell, Python) to automate operational tasks. - Assist in the configuration and use of automation platforms (e. G. , SCCM, Ansible). - Support infrastructure deployments and configuration management. 3. Client‑Focused System Support
Aim: Deliver tailored infrastructure solutions that align with client needs. - Engage with clients to understand system requirements. - Translate expectations into technical specifications. - Collaborate with colleagues to implement secure, scalable solutions. 4. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Aim: Ensure continuous improvement and effective information reuse. - Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation of infrastructure configurations and tasks. - Share knowledge with peers to increase team efficiency and resilience. 5. Task Execution & Planning
Aim: Timely completion of assigned tasks within team priorities and planning. - Execute tasks assigned by the Team Lead, respecting priorities and timelines. - Apply best practices and operational standards throughout execution. 5. PERFORMANCE CRITERIAKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE- Diploma: At least a professional bachelor's degree in a technical subject and/or an affinity with software development (Computer Science, IT, etc. )- Knowledge: An affinity with automation, infrastructure platforms (VMWare, Nutanix, Proxmox), network protocols, monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Datadog, etc. ), IT infrastructure management tools (SCCM, Ansible, Intune)- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a system engineering or infrastructure‑related role. - Running‑in period: One to two months to get to know the way of working and processes of the organisation to be able to work on a project, six to nine months to be able to work independently (through on‑the‑job training)- Languages: English, spoken & written, proficiency in local or other languages is an advantage in our international environment.
