POSITION SUMMARY:
Here at STG, we are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Tax Analyst, who will be responsible for mentoring the tax team and making sure we execute all

- day tax activities as per the tax checklist. This role involves performing all tax calculations, preparing returns and declarations, and filing with tax authorities, for both indirect and direct taxes.
This role could grow in a team leader role in the future if the tax team and scope expand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor a team of 3 tax members, 2 intermediate and 1 junior: perform the review of their work, assist in the workload repartition, first point of contact to respond to technical questions
- Perform as a team all tax tasks and returns outlined in the tax calendar within strict deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Liaise and coordinate submissions with tax consultants when required
- Scope is currently Europe with 14 countries and both direct & indirect taxes, statistics and ad hoc corporate legal tasks, for example but not limited to: VAT, Intrastat declarations, local taxes, corporate income tax, excise tax payments
- Lead projects like Document and Reporting Compliance project to perform automatic and compliant declarations to tax authorities directly from SAP
- Coordinate with Group Tax for guidance, address tax issues, and support legal queries by providing necessary inputs to tax consultants.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Education: BSc/BA (Hons) in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years in tax compliance, planning, and operations.
- Experience in international tax declarations outside of Portugal
- Familiarity with tax software; experience with SAP S/4 HANA is an advantage.
- Optional but sought after: tax experience in Denmark, Northern EU countries and/or Italy
- Functional leadership skills
- Positive posture and can do attitude, «builder» profile
