Finastra is seeking Technical Writers with 7-8 years of experience in technical writing with excellent verbal and written English communication skills. This role is responsible for designing and writing documentation and preparing other training collaterals for our products. The successful candidate must develop extensive knowledge of the company's products, processes, and customer goals. Must be an abstract and creative thinker, capable of learning and summarizing complex concepts and issues. Must be highly organized and effective in both written and verbal communication.
Team
As a Senior Technical writer, you will work as an individual contributor as part of the Universal Banking Enterprise Documentation team. This role reports into Manager – Documentation and will work and mentor other technical documentation writers for the documentation and content aspects.

Responsibilities
- As a member of the Documentation team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Working with development teams, product managers and business centers to research, develop, write, and maintain
- quality product documentation and collaterals appropriate for the target audience. - Developing and maintaining

- understand User Interface Guides, Online Help, Implementation and Configuration Manuals, Procedure Manuals, process documentation, Release Notes and other collaterals. - Preparing content in alternate media forms (e. g. , Power point presentations, videos, and other collaterals for maximum usability). These will be used to supplement the documentation.
- Mentoring other documentation team members on the documentation best practices, standard formats, processes, and
- related aspects. - Researching and evaluating emerging tools and techniques for documentation management and adopting them in deliverables.
- Learning the product functionality through discussion with subject matter experts, personal use, and experimentation.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Must have a portfolio of work with 7-8 years of technical documentation experience that demonstrates excellent writing skills, preferably in financial industry domains.
- Prior experience of working in a product development organization with Agile methodology is preferred.
- Take independent ownership of product documentation including development and maintenance of repositories of reference materials.
- Based on the need to work with Product Owners to build knowledge base/repositories as an input to Gen AI tools helping in quick turnround time for queries.
- Familiarity with Software development life cycle and associated documentation stages, including defined documentation templates.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;

- oriented and able to work well as part of a team. - Ability to quickly understand technical and functional concepts and present them as easily comprehensible, structured documents.
- Ability to handle multiple documentation tasks or modules simultaneously, while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Evaluate current content and improve those through use of latest tools and techniques.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer applications or Degree in English/Publishing/Content management with adequate industry experience (as mentioned above)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office such as Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat (PDF) is a must.
- Demonstrated experience with Madcap Flare is a must.
- Experience using Microsoft Manual of Style, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience using XML tools for documentation is preferred.
- Experience with Gen AI tools in the technical writing field is an added advantage.
- Certification through the society of technical communicators and/or proven relevant experience in the industry.
