Job Description:

Summary

In this role, you’ll bring the necessary expertise and relevant industry contacts to contribute to the rapid growth of our pipeline. You will manage project opportunities from
- tender phase through to contract award and Notice to Proceed.

Alongside your main position, you’ll manage, create and update processes that benefit the team and business, taking initiative to improve how we do things.

Core Responsibilities

1. Provide support during the
   - tender process including preparation and issuance of requests for quotation/invitations to tender,
   - boarding new contractors and working closely with development teams.
2. Enquire and coordinate with Project Team representatives (development, technical, legal, HSE, etc. ) for specification / technical and clarifications required for tenders and proposals.
3. Negotiate commercial terms with preferred bidders based on the requirements of the project.
4. Recommend the awarding of the contract through allocation of risks & cost review.
5. Oversee projects effectively – leading meetings and communications and directing stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency. This necessitates a high level of
   - orientated, clear communication at all times, including weekly and monthly meetings/reporting to peers and project team.
6. Represent Lightsource bp at company events, conveying our business and development acumen in a professional manner while enforcing company strategies.

Who we’re looking for

Knowledge

1. Comprehensive understanding of the energy project lifecycle and key industry players.
2. Expertise in construction contracts, including FIDIC contract structures.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Portuguese will be a plus.
4. Deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, energy policies, and environmental issues in the European region.

Qualifications

1. Degree in related discipline desirable

Experience

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in the renewable energy and construction industries, ideally with an EPC company or a similar organization like Lightsource bp.
2. Proven track record in contract negotiation, closing agreements, and managing claims.
3. Extensive experience in commercial contract negotiations.
4. Developing and managing
   - related projects, deadlines and resources across
   - function teams is a must.
5. Strong relationship with EPC’s and ICP Contractors.
