Senior Test Automation Engineer
Overview
Senior Test Automation Engineer — part of the Enterprise Transformation (ET) department at DSV - Global Transport and Logistics. This role focuses on automated and manual testing, testing strategies, and driving
- left practices within a dynamic supply chain project.
Responsibilities
- Shift Left Approach: integrate testing early in the development lifecycle, collaborate with developers to build tests, and reduce defects.
- Test Automation: develop and maintain automated
- end test scripts (Playwright) and automate API testing (Playwright or Postman). - Manual testing: create and maintain manual test plans where automation
- 't feasible. - Test Strategy and Plans: collaborate with
- functional teams to define and implement test strategies with comprehensive coverage. - Continuous Integration: integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and work with Dev
Ops on deployment and release processes. - Defect Management: identify, document, and track bugs; ensure timely resolution with developers.
- Mentorship: provide guidance and foster a culture of quality shared by the whole team.
- Communication: report testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders; build automated reports and dashboards.
- Forward Thinking: stay updated on industry trends and tools and propose innovative testing solutions.
Key Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in automation testing; supply chain background preferred.
- Shift Left expertise: proven experience implementing
- left principles and collaborating with development teams. - Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Playwright, Java
Script, Type
Script, and related testing frameworks. - Strong API testing expertise using Playwright, Postman, or related tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e. g. , Jenkins, Git
Lab); knowledge of core development languages is a plus. - Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Proficient in Playwright, Java
- Problem-Solving: ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to
- technical stakeholders.
