We are in search of a Senior Test Engineer – Io
T & Embedded Systems to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role,
- 'll play a crucial role in building the first dedicated Io
T/embedded test practice at Bloq. it, designing automated frameworks and “break-the-locker” stress regimes that guarantee
- solid quality across hardware, firmware, and cloud connectivity.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the Io
  T/embedded test strategy—define standards, tooling, and metrics for functional, regression, performance, and stress testing of
  - locker devices.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks (HIL, SIL, network simulators) that integrate with our CI/CD pipeline for every firmware and hardware release.
• Develop rigorous stress and
  - injection campaigns, validating connectivity, power resilience, environmental robustness, and OTA update reliability.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, Cloud, and Field-Service teams to reproduce field issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Create and maintain test fixtures and labs, including custom jig design, sensor rigs, and
  - access infrastructure for distributed testing.
• Analyze test data and fleet telemetry, building dashboards that highlight quality trends, regression hotspots, and reliability KPIs.
• Mentor QA and engineering peers, evangelizing best practices and fostering a
  - first culture across the company.

What you’ll bring to the table

• 7 + years of
  - on testing experience with embedded or Io
  T products (MCUs, So
  Cs, gateways) in
  - availability environments.
• Proficiency in Python (Py
  Test, Robot, or similar) and at least one systems language (C/C++, Rust, or Go) for
  - level test harnesses.
• Demonstrated success building HIL/SIL frameworks, automated stress rigs, or environmental chambers and integrating them into CI (Git
  Lab/Git
  Hub Actions, Jenkins, etc. ).
• Deep understanding of embedded Linux/RTOS internals, bootloaders, OTA mechanisms, and common Io
  T protocols (MQTT, HTTP, BLE, CAN, Modbus, etc. ).
• Experience with lab instrumentation and measurement tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, network emulators).
• Strong analytical skills—able to turn raw logs, metrics, and telemetry into actionable insights that raise product reliability.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

• Familiarity with cloud Io
  T platforms (AWS Io
  T Core, Azure Io
  T, GCP) and

  - cloud observability stacks.
• ISTQB Advanced, Certified Lab
  VIEW Developer, or similar testing/quality certifications.
