NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Guimarães Public Transport Decarbonisation (CNC – PT) and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overarching objective of this assignment is to deliver advisory support for the development of the Guimaraes Municipality Bus Rapid Transit and Sustainable Urban mobility plan projects, in an integrated and coordinated manner, aiming at accelerating the decarbonisation of the transport system in the Municipality.

Location : Guimaraes, Portugal

Duration : The intended start date is February 2026 and the services shall be provided for a period of 20 months from this date.

Key Expert: Senior Transport Modeller (Cat. II)

☝ Qualifications and skills:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, urban or transport planner, economics, mathematics, or related field (Minimum requirement ).
• Working command of English language (CEFR C1) (Minimum requirement ).
• Knowledge of Portuguese language will be considered an asset .

☝ General professional experience:

• At least 10 years’ experience in demand analysis and modelling in the passenger transport sector (Minimum requirement ).

☝ Specific professional experience:

• Specific knowledge and experience in the development, improvement and/or management of multimodal network transport models and demand assessment for urban transport plans and public transport projects, as demonstrated by the expert’s involvement in at least 5 relevant projects in the expert’s CV (Minimum requirement ).
• Transport modelling training experience will be an asset .
