We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to lead the design team, responsible for team performance, delivery, quality, and completeness. This role involves delivering outstanding UX experiences and generating ideas for
- wide improvements. Our design team aims to transform complex,
- source software into efficient, intuitive products that revolutionize enterprise IT. We seek an exceptional user experience designer who shares this passion.
This position reports to a UX design manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region.
The role entails
- Collaborating with the open source community and Canonical customers to research new features and improvements.
- Working with product managers and engineers to shape the future of Canonical products.
- Providing direction to the design team, ensuring efforts align with product strategy and best practices.
- Evolving and evangelizing design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Addressing
- level problems with interconnected constraints. - Leading

What we are looking for in you
- An exceptional academic record from high school and university.
- A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in User Experience, Design, STEM, or a compelling narrative about an alternative educational path.
- Passion for user experience, technology, and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, flexibility, and a scientific approach.
- Result-oriented with a drive to complete work and celebrate successes.
- Confidence in user research practices.
- Engagement with the latest in design research and innovation.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks for company events.
UX designers should be excellent communicators, comfortable working with engineers, designers, and executives. They need to present their design ideas clearly, handle complex challenges confidently, and align their leadership with the company's strategic vision.
