Service Desk Technician
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Desk Technician to provide exceptional technical support to our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining desktop/laptop hardware and software, as well as managing mobile devices and IP networking. This role involves a combination of deskside support and remote assistance, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve PC-related issues via phone, remote tools, or deskside support.
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop applications and hardware components.
- Perform
- hoc deployment and
- site installation of desktop/laptop hardware and software. - Coordinate the recovery of desktop/laptop assets and manage the life cycle of hardware (break/fix, upgrades, and new hires).
- Manage and support mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and support IP networking (wired and wireless).
- Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Update and maintain daily ticket progress and ensure accuracy within the ticketing system.
- Keep IT Asset Management (ITAM) records current and up to date.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar technical support role.
- Fluency in English (minimum C1 level – required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to work independently, collaborate with team members, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer
- focused mindset. - Exceptional PC troubleshooting and
- solving skills. - Familiarity with mobile device management and basic IP networking (wired/wireless).
