Service Reliability Engineer
Overview
To perform the Service Reliability Engineer role for the RISK Citizen Development Services Framework. The role is within BNP Paribas CIB's RISK function, which provides senior management with transparent and dynamic analysis of risks and clients managed by the operating divisions, including Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Retail Banking, and Investment & Protection Services (IPS).
RISK scope
The scope of the RISK function within CIB in London includes:
- Market and Liquidity risks: covering the CIB capital markets activities, ALM Treasury as well as the IPS Business Units
- Counterparty risks: covering all counterparty risks arising from derivative and repo transactions
- Credit risks: credit analysis and approval for Financial Institutions, Sovereigns, Wealth Management clients and other IPS private clients
- Insurance risks: risks generated by Insurance activities
The RISK function contributes to the definition of the Group’s risk appetite, its risk decision making process and the optimisation of capital allocation to support the development of the Operating Divisions.
The RISK Systems team is part of RISK Global Services, whose mission includes providing the bank with a comprehensive capital markets risk system used to calculate market and counterparty risk capital figures using advanced methods and to support the needs of users for risk analysis, risk reporting and the credit process.
About the Job
To perform the Service Reliability Engineer role for the RISK Citizen Development Services Framework. The responsibilities of the role include:
Anticipate and keep under control the Service Level Objectives, risks and impacts of the active services related to operations within the scope of the RISK Citizen Development Services Framework
Your Main Activities
- Maintenance of service level objectives
- Working closely with development teams to be aware of planned changes and to anticipate their impacts on production
- Design, build, test and continuous improvement of monitoring and alerting frameworks
- Support the scalability of the infrastructure by working closely with infrastructure and development teams
- Manage security and obsolescence of platforms
- Creating user guides and operating procedures
