Overview
Settlement Account Manager - Uncertain Fixed Term contract at BNP Paribas CIB.
The role is within the Securities Transaction Management Department and is responsible for the processing and follow up of the main processes which include

- settlement activities, clearing, relevant legal documentation, transaction and
- related accounting for securities deemed in scope. The Officer interacts with several internal departments, external counterparties and entities.
Responsibilities
- Rigorous management of client transactions by monitoring pending/failed instructions, detecting errors/discrepancies and providing accurate information to clients either via email or phone in accordance with agreements in place.
- Develop a deep knowledge of the clients’ specificities, market requirements, internal processes and tools.
- Ensure
- specificity databases and internal procedures are known and updated. - Ensure that the checklist’s tasks are duly executed, in line with internal procedures and market rules and/or guidelines, thereby mitigating settlement costs and operational risk.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide support on daily activities, ensuring close
- up on any pending investigations. - Contribute to the overall successful running of the Settlement Department while respecting BNP Paribas rules and guidelines in terms of Compliance, Risk and Conduct.
- Report and/or escalate any sensitive or risky situation to management.
Profile And Skills To Success
- Bachelor’s (3–5 years) in Economics, Finance and Accounting
- Banking and Financial Operations (0–2 years)
- English (Fluent)
- MS Office Pack Microsoft Excel (Proficient)
