Shipping specialist (Abóboda Factory) Lisboa

Overview

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for preparing and issuing all export shipping documentation and processing outbound shipments. Coordinates with transport companies to ensure timely inbound and outbound deliveries and acts as the main point of contact with freight forwarders for all import/export documents needed. The Shipping Specialist also ensures accurate and efficient picking and packing of orders for shipment. Additionally, the role investigates
- related
- conformances and recommends corrective actions. Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support internal and external audits is also a key responsibility.

Common Accountabilities

• Works autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, takes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.
• Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles or manager, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments.
• May have specialized formal education or the equivalent work experience and has the required technical and functional skills and basic knowledge of the business.

Key Functional Accountabilities

• Administer and operate the organization's warehouses, including receipt, storage, and shipment of materials.
• Optimize inventory levels by implementing control measures and analyzing demand patterns.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Ensure effectiveness of operating procedures and space utilization.
• Conduct regular audits of order processing procedures to identify areas for improvement.

About You

Minimum Experience

• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Academic diploma.
• ERP Systems.
• Strong understanding of incoterms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
• English language is mandatory.
