The mission of the Shipping Specialist is to organize and oversee the transportation of goods (collection, transit, and distribution) at both national and international levels, including the preparation of documentation (internal and customs) in compliance with current regulations. The main responsibility of the Shipping Specialist is to translate delivery plans into feasible schedules with defined deadlines, according to customer orders and stock availability. They ensure smooth workflow and timely fulfillment of deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the delivery plan is followed and that orders are delivered as scheduled;
- Organize the transportation of goods, both import and export (collection, forwarding, and distribution) at national or international levels, selecting the most appropriate mode of transport and carrier;
- Manage transportation documents for customs, carriers, and customers;
- Ensure compliance with SAP export master data (country of origin, customs tariffs, etc. );
- Communicate and coordinate with all departments and stakeholders involved in executing the mission;
- Keep master data updated in our ERP system – SAP;
- Report any blockages and/or risks that could hinder mission fulfillment (escalation);
- Develop and maintain relevant key performance indicators and monitoring tools for operations and processes;
- Participate in the company’s development through projects and improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial company;
- Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, JD Edwards), with SAP preferred;
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook);
- Fluent in French and English (mandatory);
- IATA DGR certification (not mandatory);
- Goal-oriented, reliable, and
