About The Role

As a member of the Mapped SRE team, you will be responsible for all core services powering our infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI model training workflows. This is a senior role reporting directly to the CTO.

What You'll Do

• Automate management, scaling, and monitoring of core infrastructure and data services.
• Develop internal tools for Mapped engineers, enabling them to ship
  - facing features confidently multiple times a day.
• Ensure
  -
  - end security and continuous SOC2 and PCI compliance.
• Balance cost versus implementation speed. Find ways to reduce operational overhead without impacting users.
• Recommend new technologies and find opportunities to consolidate or collapse the tech stack.
• Be an advocate by speaking at local conferences and meetups on various topics.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes (kubectl fundamentals; Argo
  CD is a plus)
• Ia
  C (Pulumi experience preferred; other Ia
  C tools are acceptable)
• Git
  Ops (Git
  Hub Actions, SSH, RBAC)
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, CIDR, Layer 7 Routing, Cloudflare Tunnels)
• Proficiency in Typescript; familiarity with Go and Python is a major plus
• Azure (VNet, AKS, Storage Accounts)
• Data Management (Cassandra, Mongo
  DB, Redis, Elastic Search)

Location

This is a hybrid position in Lisbon, Portugal, with an expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week. Flexibility is appreciated.
