This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. - leading solutions to the world’s top automotive manufacturers. 
Your role:
Lead the development, standardization, and coordination of assembly tooling, vision systems, torque measurement, and electrical test boards used in wiring harness production across multiple factories in the EMEA region. This hands‑on role involves frequent travel (up to 60%) to support equipment deployment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with local teams and customers. You will ensure all systems meet customer specifications, operate efficiently and safely, and are implemented consistently.
- Design and standardize tooling and fixtures (e. g. , final assembly boards, closing tools, taping devices) across multiple sites.
- Interpret customer and product requirements to ensure ergonomic and compliant tool design.
- Develop and integrate mechanical, pneumatic, and mechatronic assembly solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize tooling systems including sensors, actuators, and pneumatics.
- Document tooling designs, maintenance procedures, and validation reports.
- Train local teams on tool usage, adjustment, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomic, and internal design standards.
- Act as the technical interface for tooling topics across the EMEA region.
- Continuously improve tooling reliability, repeatability, and operator efficiency.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Education: Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience: 5+ years in tooling design, assembly processes, or industrial automation
- Strong mechanical design and pneumatics knowledge
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, Solid
 Works, or Creo)
- Familiarity with CE compliance and industrial safety standards
- Ability to coordinate tooling activities across international sites
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
