The role - SOC L2 Analyst

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and respond deeper security incidents and alerts, through all incident lifecycle (principally in analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery)
• Proactively searching for signs of malicious activity within the network, even if no alerts have been triggered
• Conducting detailed investigations to understand the root cause of incidents and gathering evidence for potential legal actions
• Developing and updating playbooks by creating and refining incident response procedures to ensure efficient and effective handling of security events
• Creating and fine tuning of use cases
• Providing guidance and training to Tier 1 Analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge

Your profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Cyber Security or similar is preferred
• More than 3 years of professional experience working in a SOC environment
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting, Log Analysis, Network Protocols, Security tools (SIEM, EDR, . . . ), Server Operating System, mainly Windows, Linux and Unix, and in Programming (e. g. , Python)
• Experience with securing cloud environments (e. g. , AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and knowledge of cloud security best practices
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO, NIST, RGPD, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
• Strong skills in incident handling, including containment, eradication, and recovery processes
• GCIH, CEH, Comp
  TIA Security, Comp
  TIA Cy
  SA+, GISF, GSEC or CSA certifications are preferred
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese
