Software Consultant
Job description
The focus of this position will be the implementation and maintenance of software to support the Dispatch and Calltaker Public Safety product suite. This includes coding, unit test development, automated test development, and supporting the development of user documentation. The candidate will work in a
- performance agile/scrum team of mixed disciplines and participate in design and development discussions. Responsibilities include creating software according to requirements, implementing automated testing methods, diagnosing failures, and reviewing documentation for accuracy.
Assignments require the use of independent judgment and application of programming and software principles, theories, and concepts. The role involves regular interaction with other technical and software personnel within the product development team and occasionally with external personnel.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The company reserves the right to modify responsibilities at any time.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of applicable experience.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience with:
- Software development of
- based applications - Application deployment and hosting in Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments
- Debugging applications and identifying root causes of software defects
- Programming or scripting languages
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
