We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java, web technologies, and modern testing frameworks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building robust, scalable enterprise applications and testing frameworks across Fin
Tech, banking, and
- scale web applications. This role requires proficiency in both backend and frontend automation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with
- functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend APIs, microservices, and web applications.
• Write and execute unit, integration, and
  -
  - end tests using
  - standard tools.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure
  - quality, scalable, and secure software delivery.
• Implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases covering functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
• Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated testing for faster, reliable releases.
• Ensure best practices in test coverage, code quality, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Programming & Backend

• Strong experience in Java / J2EE (Java 8/11/17), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Knowledge of
  - oriented design, design patterns, DDD,
  - driven and hexagonal architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, Oracle, Postgre
  SQL, My
  SQL, and No
  SQL databases such as Mongo
  DB, Cassandra, Redis.
• Experience with Kafka, BPMN (Camunda), and API gateways.
• Exposure to Salesforce (Omni Studio, Vlocity, Integration Procedures) is a plus.

Frontend & UI Testing

• Strong proficiency in Angular (latest versions), React
  JS, Redux, Rx
  JS, Type
  Script, Java
  Script (ES6+).
• Experience with responsive design, accessibility (WCAG standards), and performance optimization (code splitting, lazy loading, change detection strategies).
• Hands-on experience in frontend testing frameworks: Jest, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, React Testing Library.

Testing & Automation

• Skilled in JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Selenium, API testing, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, and Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with reporting tools like TIBCO Jaspersoft.

Dev
Ops & Tools

• CI/CD: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Git, Bitbucket.
• Containerization & Cloud: Docker, AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Dynamo
  DB), Grafana, Splunk.
• Development & Debugging Tools: Eclipse, SQL Developer, VS Code, Chrome Dev
  Tools, React Profiler.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering and testing experience.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum practices.
• Experience with
  - scale fintech, banking, or enterprise web applications.
• Ability to work closely with UX/UI, backend developers, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 8-24 months

Pay: 250. 00€ € per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lisbonne, Distrito de Lisboa: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
