Your Role

We are looking for a Cobol programmer to join our team in Lisbon. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing, testing, and implementing COBOL code for banking systems, including transaction processing, account management, and financial reporting.
2. Collaborating with system analysts, software architects, and team members to understand project requirements and deliver
   - quality solutions.
3. Analyzing and diagnosing issues in existing systems, proposing, and implementing effective solutions.
4. Participating in code reviews and ensuring compliance with coding standards and best practices.
5. Working with support teams to resolve emergency issues and ensure system stability in production.
6. Staying updated on best practices and relevant technologies for COBOL development.

Your Profile

1. Proven experience in COBOL software development.
2. Strong knowledge of structured and
   - oriented programming concepts.
3. Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
4. Familiarity with relational database management systems such as DB2.
5. Excellent
   - solving skills and
   - making under pressure.
6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
