Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tasks assigned by the Project Lead or Team Lead (TL), prepare functional and design specifications, and align them with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks with the required quality standards.
• Provide accurate time estimations, agree on timelines with the manager, and contribute to project planning.
• Evaluate existing data systems and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement best practices for data coding to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Update, optimize, and maintain local and metadata models.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize data systems for performance and reliability.
• Understand business drivers and analytical use cases, translating them into scalable data products.
• Design, implement, and maintain pipelines that deliver
  - critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technologies.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and address issues within your area of responsibility.
• Report on progress, quality, and readiness, escalating critical risks when necessary.
• Resolve crisis situations within your scope of work.
• Conduct code reviews, define coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Propose technical and functional improvements to increase product value.
• Continuously improve your technical expertise and contribute to team
  - sharing.

Required Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with strong C++ and Java programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems such as Apache Cassandra, Apache Druid, and Star
  Rocks.
• Proficiency with Linux and Bash scripting.
• Basic knowledge of Docker.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
• Good command of English (oral and written), with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice To Have

• Additional experience with Java and/or Python.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
