Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will help build and scale our Customer Experience platform, serving thousands of clients reliably and efficiently. You will work with new technologies in a friendly environment, sharing knowledge and growing together with your colleagues in Ottawa, Canada, as well as teams in Germany and the US.

Responsibilities

1. Develop
   - quality microservice solutions using
   - edge technologies.
2. Define accurate domain models and store data efficiently.
3. Build scalable,
   - volume data processing pipelines.
4. Design, implement, and improve services while adopting best practices.
5. Write clean,
   - documented,
   - testing code.
6. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure alignment with business needs.

Qualifications

1. 2-3 years of experience in a production environment as a developer.
2. Proficiency in Java 21 and the Spring ecosystem.
3. Experience with relational and No
   SQL databases, Elasticsearch, RESTful APIs.
4. Knowledge of messaging technologies like Kafka is a plus.
5. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
6. Fluent in English.
