Software Engineer (Java) - Air Traffic Management at Thales

Location: Paco De Arcos - Q45, Portugal

Thales people architect solutions that are relied upon to deliver operational advantage at every decisive moment throughout the mission. This role is part of the Air Mobility Solutions (AMS) team and focuses on software engineering in Java for air traffic management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop
  - quality, efficient, and maintainable code in Java based on project requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and
  - aligned software solutions to ensure safety for airport traffic.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security practices, and industry regulations.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for systems, APIs, and processes.
• Debug, fix issues, optimize performance, and continuously improve software.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering or similar
• Experience in software development/engineering
• Depth knowledge of Java
• Interest in developing software which is securing air traffic across the world
