We are hiring a Software Engineer for our Open
Stack Engineering team. This role involves building Charmed Open
Stack and Ceph, open source Python-based charms for deploying and managing Open
Stack and Ceph, bringing cloud platform technologies to diverse environments. The ideal candidate is a Python developer passionate about automating infrastructure as code, open source, Linux, and Open
Stack.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating proactively with a distributed team
2. Writing
   - quality code for new features
3. Debugging issues and fixing bugs
4. Reviewing code from peers
5. Collaborating on solutions and ideas
6. Ensuring Open
   Stack and Ceph success across architectures
7. Working from home with international travel 2-4 times a year

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related field
• Experience with Python
• Interest/experience in multiple areas like Ubuntu Linux, Kubernetes, Open
  Stack, Ceph, AI/ML, QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD, Go, C, databases, packaging, scalable web services
• Experience with
  - x86 architectures (s390, arm64, power)
• Experience with cloud technologies like Open
  Stack, OVN, Openvswitch
