Role Overview

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to design, automate, and maintain data pipelines that unify and standardise datasets from multiple
- tech sources.

You’ll build a scalable foundation that powers automated reporting, optimisation dashboards, and Vidium’s internal Video Intelligence Platform, enabling smarter media decisions and deeper contextual insights.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Automation

• Build and manage automated data ingestion pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Integrate and normalise data from SSPs (Index Exchange, Pub
  Matic, Equativ, Magnite, etc. ) and DSPs (Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, DV360).
• Handle diverse data schemas and standardise outputs for analytics and dashboard use.
• Implement ETL/ELT automation using Big
  Query, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, or Apache Airflow.

Data Warehousing & Modelling

• Design efficient, scalable schemas in Big
  Query to support both
  - facing dashboards and internal analytics.
• Optimise for speed, query cost, and reliability across growing data volumes.

Reporting & BI Integration

• Automate the delivery of structured data into Looker Studio, Power BI , or equivalent dashboard tools.
• Ensure consistent metric definitions across performance, attention, and carbon reporting.
• Develop validation and
  - handling processes to ensure clean data refreshes.

Web Crawler Refinement

• Collaborate with internal engineers to enhance Vidium’s video intelligence technology infrastructure used to collect video player, context, and metadata signals from publisher environments.
• Enhance data accuracy, crawl efficiency, and classification logic to ensure the reliable capture of key contextual attributes.
• Implement automated QA scripts and logging systems to detect errors, duplicates, or schema drift
• Design data pipelines to merge crawler output into Big
  Query for integration with broader performance and contextual datasets.
• Work toward a scalable architecture for content discovery and video segment generation within Vidium’s Video Intelligence Data Platform.

Video Intelligence Platform Development

• Connect intelligence and performance data into Vidium’s Video Intelligence Data Platform.
• Enable future use cases for segment creation, content discovery, and activation through platform partners.
• Support API and data feed integrations for automated activation pipelines.

Governance & Quality

• Maintain data accuracy and completeness across all inputs and outputs to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, schema mapping, and issue alerts for pipeline health.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or Data Pipeline Developer , within ad-tech or
  - tech is a potential plus but not a requirement.
• Deep knowledge of GCP services : Big
  Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Composer (Airflow).
• Expertise in Python , SQL , and automation.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data normalisation across varied
  - tech schemas.
• Experience with API integrations (REST, JSON, OAuth) and data connector creation.
• Familiarity with programmatic data taxonomies (Open
  RTB, bidstream,
  - level metrics).
• Experience in web crawling, scraping, or structured data collection at scale (e. g. , Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium, or custom GCP-based crawlers).
• Bonus: experience integrating Scope3 , Adelaide , or similar measurement frameworks.
