Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated trainee to join a team of Software Engineers. The role involves developing innovative, highly performant and highly distributed applications based on advanced virtualization and containerized concepts, deployed globally to deliver impactful solutions to Nokia customers.
Position: Internship
Duration: 12 months
Start date (tentative): December 2025
Location: Hybrid in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Conduct research, implementation, and testing of highly distributed software solutions.
- Develop and implement software related to telecommunication networks, to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Utilize Big Data technologies (e. g. Spark, Hadoop) to process, store and query
- scale datasets. - Apply high degrees of automation techniques.
Key Skills And Experience
- BSc/ MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- Relevant expertise in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Programming: Java, Python.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Proficiency in Kafka, Spark and Flink for data processing and real‑time analytics.
