Role: Solution/Application Architect Azure Cloud Migration

Location: Hybrid, Portugal

Responsibilities

Migration Strategy: Define the best migration strategy for each application (rehosting, replatforming, refactoring), interacting with internal and external stakeholders to design target solutions in Azure (Iaa
S, Paa
S, Containers, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, etc. ).

Assessment and Planning: Conduct cloud readiness assessments, evaluate the context and characteristics of each application and its underlying technologies (Out
Systems, TIBCO, Jasper
Soft, . NET, Java,
- party systems, etc. ), define roadmap, priorities, and identify dependencies.

Design and Governance: Design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures in Azure. Ensure compliance with security best practices, governance, cost optimization, and internal architectural guidelines.

Modernization and Dev
Ops: Support development teams in modernization efforts and define CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.

Coordination and Documentation: Plan and coordinate migrations in a structured and compliant manner. Produce technical documentation and deliver presentations in English to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proven experience in Solution/System Architecture and in migrating on‑premise applications to Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of Azure services including Iaa
  S, Paa
  S, Containers, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, and related ecosystem
• Experience in planning and coordinating large‑scale migration projects
• Knowledge of modern application architectures, Dev
  Ops, and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
