What will be your role

In this role, you will be the lead architect responsible for building, running, and maintaining the architectural vision of our platform, built on Out
Systems Developer Cloud (ODC) and AWS. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure our solutions are scalable, secure, and
-
- purpose. Your responsibilities include defining architectural principles, overseeing system integration, guiding data migration, and implementing best practices for our microservices and analytics pipelines.

You will serve as a clear and trusted counterpart to the business, bringing clarity and technical depth to discussions about growth, performance, and security. You’ll be a part of an ambitious, newly formed team, and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the
- term health and evolution of our software stack.

Your Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technical architecture across our systems, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices layer, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, maintainability and security.
• Design, build, and maintain architectural frameworks that support rapid product iteration without compromising system integrity.
• Act as a bridge between engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring technology decisions align with business needs and
  - term strategy.
• Define and enforce best practices in software development, deployment, and system integration.
• Drive the evolution of our data model and guide secure and efficient data migrations across environments.
• Support development teams with architectural reviews, technical mentoring, and
  - on guidance when needed.
• Continuously improve our data and analytics pipeline, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
• Document architectural decisions and foster a culture of technical clarity and operational excellence.
• Be a thought partner to the Head of Product in setting technical direction, team processes, and development standards.

What we’re looking for

• 12+ years of experience in IT, software engineering, and system architecture.
• Demonstrable experience in architectural leadership within a complex IT or software development environment.
• Proven track record designing and implementing scalable, secure systems using cloud technologies (AWS) and
  - code platforms such as Out
  Systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices, API design, IAM and data architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to explain complex topics to
  - technical audiences.
• A pragmatic approach to
  - solving, with an ability to balance
  - term needs with
  - term vision.
• Passion for mentoring, guiding, and supporting
  - functional teams.
• Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands (relocation package provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
