The Position

The Associate Specialist will contribute to ensuring all St
S processes and transactions comply with accounting standards, policies, SOX and statutory requirements. They will also provide input to the global process owner group for operational opportunities for process and control design, as well as vendor experience.

Job Description

The St
S team is organized regionally; the Associate Specialist will work within a regional scope, ensuring successful delivery of St
S operations for their region, overseeing service delivery from our BPO partner, and collaborating with Organon vendors & markets to understand the business model & dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver services in accordance with agreed Service Level, Controls and Governance
• Help manage process risk by adhering to policies and internal controls, comply with St
  S guidelines, ensuring process and SOX controls are executed in a timely and accurate fashion to maintain a robust control environment
• Bring a process improvement focus, supporting implementation of best practices and a project management discipline
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support successful audit results and compliance with US GAAP and company policies
• Support training, accuracy, and timely delivery of work outputs
• Engage and initiate with process Owners and other ESS FS Center colleagues to help identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through continuous improvement
• Ensure professional and detailed process and related internal control documentation exists such as global SOPs, Regional Work Instructions in coordination with the St
  S Global Process Owner & ICC
• Provide consultative support to our outsource partners in Genpact Dalian and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Resolve escalated queries in accordance with agreed SLAs
• Collaborate cross functionally within the company/vendors/employees to resolve process and/or technical issues across Athena and associated STS systems

Support Internal Stakeholders

• Participate in process changes and improvements
• Deliver 'world‑class service' experience for vendors, fellow employees, and stakeholders
• Cross‑functional collaboration
• Perform a variety of responsibilities within the Source to Settle (St
  S) tower as requested

Education, Experience, and Skills

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• 1‑2 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company
• Experience with Internal or External Audit
• Good financial background with experience in accounting processes
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, WHT and VAT
• Fluent in English with Portuguese/Spanish an advantage for supporting BPO and STS stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to maintain financial controls
• Experience with continuous process improvement projects
• Pay attention to details, produces accurate deliverables, and consistently meets deadlines
• Proactive style in implementing new processes
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, and Ticket Management Software (Service
  Now)
• Experience working in shared service environment
• Good communication skills for both written & verbal
