Specialist, Credit Collection
BFF Bank for the Lisbon office is looking for a Specialist, Credit Collection
The candidate will join a very dynamic international environment based in the newly established Portuguese Branch with the responsibility of credit management activities for Portugal Country
Main Activities :
- Support the CM Manager in managing the portfolio activities with relationship with debtors
- Participation in negotiations of payment plans
- Sending payment reminders and managing the feedbacks from the debtors
- Organize with the CM Manager frequent meetings with debtors and maintain constant contact
- Verify and monitor debtors' accounts
- Track the volume of exposure
- Carry out the necessary checks to ensure low collection risk
- Collaborate with the internal legal unit for the initiation and management of legal actions
- Support the CM Manager in the relationships with clients, regarding the due diligence of the portfolio, to process in the internal IT system to finalize the potential deal
- Request to clients the probative documentation related to the receivables purchased by the Bank
- Check and update the information in the IT tool (invoices status, negotiations stages, payments allocation, etc…)
- Clarify disputes raised by debtors regarding receivables
- Carry out the process of retrocession towards clients and recovery of payment refunds
- Report regularly to headquarters on local activities and statistics related to credit management activities
- Collaborate with all Group units, including IT, and actively participate in internal projects
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in managing relationships with public or private counterparties for debt recovery and negotiation of agreements
- Proactive mindset with a focus on achieving KPIs (priority oriented).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to problems and strong aptitude for teamwork.
- Degree in Business Administration/ Law
Skills:

- Nice to have working in Pharmaceutical/utilities/bank industry or lawyers working in NPL/ debt recovery sector.
