Specialist GBS Credit & Collections - English Speaker (Temp position)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The Credit and Collections team is responsible for performing daily activities such as dunning and collection, dispute management, and credit management, along with supporting projects and process standardization initiatives. The goal is to achieve excellence in all deliverables and be recognized as a trusted partner by stakeholders, ensuring a stable and flawless business platform for adidas Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely collection of receivables by collaborating closely with customers and internal stakeholders, resolving causes of
  - payment.
• Accurately and promptly allocate all received payments without errors.
• Follow up on discrepancies and ensure they are addressed within a reasonable timeframe.
• Manage customer relationships, including problem resolution and root cause analysis.
• Regularly assess and review customer credit risk to mitigate adidas's risk according to credit policy.
• Review, analyze, and propose releases on credit block deliveries.
• Provide insights into the accounts receivable position of customers to the Credit & Collections leadership team and Sales/Finance stakeholders.
• Track disputes, forward them to the appropriate department, and follow up until resolution.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support their implementation.
• Ensure desktop procedures are updated in line with standards and policies.

• Experience with SAP and Excel
• Experience in a Shared Service environment or similar
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English in a business setting

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or corporate finance
• Strong theoretical understanding of the job functions
• Availability for a temporary position of approximately 12 months
