Splunk Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Splunk Specialist to join our Monitoring Team . In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across all regions, supporting the implementation of Splunk and associated tools. You will play a critical role in the migration to a new Splunk platform, automation of daily tasks, and ensuring the continuous improvement of monitoring processes and tools.
Mission & Responsibilities:
Your role will focus on two key areas: supporting the implementation of the project (approximately 60%) and handling support requests and operations (around 40%). Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Tool Support :
- Provide support for various monitoring tools, including Splunk , Opentelemetry , Cribl , Solarwinds , and Dynatrace
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to these tools, ensuring high availability and performance
- Automation of Daily Tasks :
- Automate daily tasks using Ansible , ensuring a streamlined, efficient process
- Platform Migration Support :
- Assist development and production teams with migrating to the new Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI (IT Service Intelligence) platforms
- Help build and maintain dashboards , metrics , and alerts to meet the needs of the teams
- Continuous Improvement :
- Propose and implement improvements in both the tools and processes related to monitoring, including performance enhancements and new features
- Focus on KPIs and other performance indicators to ensure operational excellence
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing :
- Work closely with other teams (Dev, Ops, Security, etc. ) to ensure integration and smooth operations across various monitoring solutions
- Share knowledge and best practices, helping to build a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Splunk (Enterprise and ITSI)
- Proficiency in Opentelemetry , Cribl , Solarwinds , and Dynatrace
- Experience with Ansible for automation
- Knowledge of SQL and Scripting for monitoring tasks and issue resolution
- Solid understanding of IT Service Monitoring and event correlation
- Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Experience in monitoring dashboards and metric creation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle complex support requests
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration across teams
