We are looking for an SQL Database Administrator!

Responsibilities:

• Database Migration Planning: Collaborate with the customer to understand requirements, analyze existing database environments, and develop comprehensive migration strategies.
• Migration Execution: Perform data migration tasks, including schema conversion, data transformation, and data loading. Ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption to operations.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance before, during, and after the migration. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement robust backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data during migration. Conduct
  - migration validation to ensure data integrity.
• Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades as part of the migration process, ensuring compatibility and stability of applications.

Requirements:

• Professional experience as a Database Administrator.
• Experience and knowledge of different SQL Server versions.
• Support tools such as Ola Hallengren.
• Knowledge of index reorganization and rebuilding, statistics updates, backup/restore procedures within SQL Server.
• Understanding of Recovery Models and their impact on backups and log files.
• Familiarity with system databases and their purposes.
• Configuration and management of SQL Agent.
• Knowledge of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Understanding of security roles,
  - availability solutions, and related concepts.
• SQL development skills including T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, error handling, and common table expressions.
• Experience with transactions, foreign keys, indexes,
  - memory OLTP, indexed views, execution plans, and query store.
• Good command of English.
