Job Description

As a Database Administrator (2nd Line Support Engineer), you will ensure the Operational IT infrastructure is maintained at the highest standards. You will work with your IT colleagues and manufacturers on the development and revision of the IT system support strategies to ensure our SLA and system availability targets are met, and our Service Performance is improved.

Responsibilities

1. Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution;
2. Maintaining optimal customer satisfaction;
3. Identifying all customer issues and recommending appropriate resolutions;
4. Providing 2nd-level support by researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, identifying solutions, carrying out configurations, performing upgrades, and migrations;
5. Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams;
6. Writing and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

1. Solid and extensive knowledge of IT data center infrastructure in general and the ability to navigate medium to large IT environments;
2. Experience with implementing new databases and managing existing databases operationally;
3. Customer-focused approach regarding database operations, with emphasis on reliability and performance;
4. Ability to handle tasks such as:
1. Preparation of operational procedures for backup and recovery, tuning, integrity, reliability, and administration of database users;
2. Supporting application teams and assets in setting up the internal database structure;
3. Establishing and following robust database standards.
5. Experience working with Databases in Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform;
6. Fluent in technical English (spoken & written).
