Senior Associate Software Engineer

What you will do
Role Description: The Senior Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create
- quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
You will be part of a team focusing on Global CRM and Marketing capabilities. Amgen uses Salesforce.com as core architecture, relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement applications and modules
- Take ownership of development/configuration of user stories
- Strong rapid prototyping skills and translating concepts into working code
- Contribute to both
- end and
- end development using Veeva CRM/Salesforce - Create and maintain documentation on software design and configuration
- Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively
- Analyze and translate functional and technical requirements into software design and configuration
- Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies
- Identify and resolve software bugs
- Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications
- Use CI/CD as part of Dev
Ops practices and maintain pipelines - Maintain high standards of code quality, code reviews, and test coverage

Minimum requirements
- Master’s degree with 3-4 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related
- Proficient in Visual Force, Apex, SQL, Java
- Strong expertise in software design principles and system integration; experience with Dev
Ops tool set (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado) - Proven experience (5 years) as a Software Engineer, leading the design and development of software solutions
- Proficiency in Veeva CRM development
- Proficiency in Salesforce development
- Proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Proficiency with Git and release management tools like Copado
Preferred requirements
- Experience with test automation
- Work closely with product team, business team, and other stakeholders
- Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado, Safe are advantageous
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
