Role Mission:

Drive efficient and accurate validation testing to ensure product quality and timely completion within budget.

Key Objectives:

• Define and maintain the validation budget for programs.
• Accurately quote test campaigns.
• Develop and maintain test plans meeting customer expectations.
• Set up product exercisers for test campaigns.
• Ensure testing is completed appropriately and deadlines are met.
• Specify testers for Functional, Climatic, and EMC testing.
• Write test scripts to validate new products.
• Report test results to the Product Development team.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Budget Variance: Achieve +/- 5% between planned and actual validation costs, with a target of improving accuracy by 2% annually.
• Testing Completion Rate: Complete 95% of validation testing within deadlines, aiming for a 5% improvement annually.
• Product Quality: Maintain a 98% defect detection rate, with a 1% annual improvement target.

Year One Deliverables:

• Implement a system for streamlined test campaign cost estimation and budgeting.
• Develop and deliver DV test plans for two production programs.
• Reduce validation testing time by 10% through process optimization.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• University degree in Electronics or a related field; at least 3 years of experience in Environmental Automotive product testing.
• Experience with environmental validation (EMC, Climatic, Mechanical testing).
• Knowledge of automotive standards.
• Planning skills.
• Software development skills (VBA, Python, etc. ).
• Proficiency in English.

6+ years
