Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Liver Diseases (Porto, Portugal)

Specific Responsibilities
- Prepare regional business plans and account plans for your territory aligned to local brand plan priorities for Liver Diseases, communicate required actions to achieve goals.
- Initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans.
- Identify and map out patient referral journey pathways within the Liver Diseases on your territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
- Achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
- Work in partnership with Regional Market Access, Medical colleagues and Market to ensure local access is in place for Liver Diseases Gilead medicines.
- Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts, and relevant key opinion leaders. Set and achieve customer contact plans and deliver on related KPIs.
- Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other external expenditures.
- Represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
- Work cooperatively with Gilead Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Marketing and Market Access on cross‑functional projects.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, communicate proactively to Marketing and Sales management.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner (e. g. , updating customer database, expenses).
- Achieve the competency levels required in the role.
- Comply with country regulations and code of conduct at all times.
- Role will require travel and potentially overnight stays.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Passion for commercializing breakthrough medicines and a strong competitive and commercial mindset.
- Robust scientific acumen, patient‑ and customer‑centric approach.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry (6+ years) and experience with the Liver Diseases therapeutic area preferred.
- Scientific degree in Sciences, Pharmacy or similar required.
- Established contacts to relevant customers in the Liver Diseases area.
- Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
- Sound scientific expert knowledge, up‑to‑date on emerging data.
- Ability to understand and digest original publications and talks.
- Understanding of how Liver diseases services are delivered.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, build relationships internally and externally.
- Experience in account planning and cross‑functional account management.
- Self‑motivated, autonomy, and independence.
- Familiarity with industry trends, competitors, and current practices.
- Solid analytical skills, identify moderate to complex issues, provide recommendations to management and specialists.

- Availability to travel required.
