Sr. Vue Developer Freelance Lisbon

This is a 6-month freelance assignment for a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Lisbon. You will join an existing product and engineering environment and are expected to deliver at a senior level. The engagement runs from January 1 to June 30. Presence in the Lisbon office is required 4 days per week. A university degree is required. The total hiring need is 3FTE.

Responsibilities

Build modern web applications using Vue. js

Translate product and design requirements into clean frontend solutions

Own frontend architecture and contribute to platform evolution

Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, accessibility, and security

Write and maintain frontend tests

Perform code reviews and support frontend best practices

Collaborate closely with backend, Product, and QA teams

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other frontend engineers

Requirements

At least five years of experience in frontend or web development

Senior level autonomy, ownership, and problem solving capability

Strong experience with Vue. js and the surrounding ecosystem

Solid knowledge of Java
Script, HTML, and CSS

Experience integrating with REST APIs

Understanding of state management and component based architecture

Experience with responsive design and cross browser compatibility

Proficiency with GIT

Experience working in Scrum environments

Fluency in English

University degree

Nice to have

Experience with other modern frontend frameworks

Knowledge of frontend architecture patterns and design systems

Familiarity with testing frameworks for frontend applications

Experience with Azure Dev
Ops and CI CD pipelines
