Staff Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Staff Cloud Engineer to join our Dev
Ops and Cloud team. The role focuses on driving architecture standards, mentoring, and developing long‑term strategies to ensure our cloud platforms are secure, cost‑effective, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The Staff Engineer collaborates closely with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to define best practices, establish reference architectures, and guide the evolution of our cloud ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities

• Define cloud architecture blueprints and maintain consistency across teams.
• Align infrastructure strategy with business priorities in collaboration with Engineering Leadership.
• Lead design reviews and provide guidance on technology trade‑offs regarding cost, performance, and reliability.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and suggest adoption strategies.
• Set and enforce standards for Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) and Git
  Ops workflows.
• Establish SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for critical services.
• Embed security controls into infrastructure patterns by default.
• Define Fin
  Ops best practices and monitor cloud spending for optimizations.
• Coach and mentor cloud engineers, enhancing their technical depth.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 5 years in a similar role, with 7+ years in Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering.
• Deep expertise in Azure; experience in AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Proficiency in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or other Ia
  C tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Experience in implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Ability to integrate security‑first approaches into infrastructure and Dev
  Ops processes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure Dev
  Ops or Jenkins.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or. NET.
• Experience with Fin
  Ops and cost optimization strategies.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC2.
• Experience in Tech Lead or Principal Engineer roles in a Saa
  S environment.
• Certifications in Azure Solutions Architect, Security Engineer, or Dev
  Ops Engineer.
