Staff Java Backend Developer Aveiro

Responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of backend development and contribute to the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment).
• Design and implement robust, scalable Java backend solutions.
• Collaborate in an Agile,
  - functional team and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead complex initiatives and align with other teams to agree on technical designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java backend development.
• Experience leading complex initiatives and collaborating with other teams to agree on technical designs.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers, influencing engineering practices within a team.
• Solid knowledge of
  - oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and
  - driven development (TDD).
• Proficiency in Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with Spring Boot and other relevant backend frameworks.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with Terraform, Kafka, Kubernetes, Graph
  QL Federation, and Azure Cloud.
• Strong
  - solving and analytical skills, plus excellent communication and teamwork.
