Staff Research Engineer

About the Role
As a Staff Research Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise clients to transform advanced AI research into production‑ready solutions that meet stringent regulatory and security requirements. You’ll tackle complex problems in drug discovery, national security, public sector innovation, and patient care, making a tangible impact in industries where AI can truly save lives and protect communities.
Responsibilities
- Build Mission‑Critical Solutions: Design and deploy secure, compliant AI systems for pharmaceutical research, defense applications, government services, and clinical decision support. Navigate complex regulatory frameworks while maintaining technical excellence.
- Partner with Enterprise Teams: Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, domain experts, and our engineering team to understand industry‑specific challenges and deliver tailored AI solutions that meet strict compliance standards (HIPAA, Fed
RAMP, Gx
P, etc. ). - Ensure Enterprise‑Grade Performance: Implement robust, scalable systems with enterprise‑level security, audit trails, and explainability features. Optimize models for accuracy while meeting stringent performance and compliance requirements.
- Drive Innovation in Regulated Spaces: Stay current with AI advances and evolving regulatory landscapes. Develop novel approaches to deploy cutting‑edge AI within the constraints of highly regulated industries.
- Own End‑to‑End Delivery: Take full ownership of projects from initial client requirements through production deployment and ongoing support. Ensure solutions maintain performance, security, and compliance standards over time.
Qualifications
- Hold a Master’s/Ph
D in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. - Have demonstrated experience with deep learning and transformer models in production environments.
- Bring proficiency in Py
Torch or Tensor
Flow, with experience in model optimization and deployment. - Possess a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
