Our Opportunity

As a Staff Software Engineer at Snyk, you’ll play a key role in shaping how modern organizations build and secure software at scale. You will be responsible for scaling our
- gen DAST solution - Snyk API & Web - designed for the future of AI-powered software development.

You’ll be challenged to create
- performance, reliable, and scalable services while collaborating closely with
- functional teams. We seek individuals passionate about crafting exceptional software, solving complex problems, and driving innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze, design, and implement
  - quality,
  - scale solutions to Snyk’s most complex technical problems with a focus on scale, efficiency, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with peers and across teams to design and implement solutions to
  - scale problems.
• Communicate regularly in written and verbal forms with the team, peers, and senior leadership.
• Take
  -
  - end ownership for critical project delivery and lead peers as a technical lead on broad efforts.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

What You’ll Need

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience building highly reliable, scalable microservice
  - ends for web APIs or applications, or other
  - scale,
  - reliability systems.
• Knowledge of
  - scale software system design and fundamental computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures).
• Proficiency in Python or Go, or willingness to learn new languages.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong advocate for testing to improve code quality.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior engineers to elevate team performance.
