We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join Datadog’s Software Delivery team. This is a
- on leadership role where you will shape the future of how developers build, deploy, and debug software using Datadog. You will work at the intersection of CI/CD observability, source control management (SCM) integrations, IDE tooling, and
- focused features like the Datadog Debugger.

In this role, you will design and build scalable systems that give developers
-
- end visibility into their software delivery pipelines. You will also work with platform teams to bring Datadog directly into developer workflows, whether that is inside Git
Hub pull requests, within their IDEs, or via
- line interfaces. You will own projects that make it easier for developers to move fast without sacrificing quality.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and own core systems within the Software Delivery suite, such as build and deployment data ingestion, visibility dashboards, and failure diagnostics.
• Partner with Datadog for Developers teams to extend Datadog into SCMs, IDEs, and local development tools.
• Lead the technical strategy for building and evolving features like live debugging, test visibility, and deployment tracking.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure the tools we build are deeply useful, fast, and a joy to use.
• Mentor engineers across teams by sharing deep technical insights, guiding architecture discussions, and driving adoption of best practices.
  
  

Who You Are:

• A BS, MS, or Ph
  D in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of engineering experience designing and delivering complex,
  - scale systems.
• 4+ years of technical leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving large initiatives across multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of software delivery pipelines, developer workflows, and developer experience challenges.
• Some experience integrating with SCMs like Git
  Hub or Git
  Lab, and/or building plugins or extensions for popular IDEs.
