What You'll Do
As Strategic Development Director – Global Practice Areas, Strategic Projects, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing BCG’s most important internal strategic priorities. Sitting at the heart of the Global Practice Areas (PAs), you will drive business transformation, enable growth, and shape our organization and talent agenda across industries and functions.
Reporting to the Strategic Development Senior Director – Global Practice Areas, you will serve as a thought leader and trusted partner to senior leadership, orchestrating and delivering on the firm’s "Change-the-Business" agenda. Your work will combine strategic
- solving, leadership influence, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will lead and continue to build the Strategic Projects team, composed of a core group of
- performing Senior Project Managers, and manage a flexible pool of rotating project managers from across the firm (e. g. , via secondments and
- term assignments).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic,
- PA initiatives focused on transformation, growth, organization, and talent - Translating
- level aspirations into structured workstreams, ensuring actionable results and senior alignment - Acting as a content lead and thought partner to senior stakeholders (e. g. , GPMDs, Senior functional leads, MDPs)
- Driving
- making and stakeholder
- in across complex, global environments - Developing and leading the Strategic Projects team, setting direction, ensuring impact, and fostering growth
- Building and managing a flexible project staffing model, integrating
- term talent and secondees - Partnering with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and
- quality execution - Applying
- driven insights and competitive intelligence to shape strategic recommendations

What You'll Bring
- 10–12 years of experience in strategy, transformation, or management consulting
- Proven success leading and delivering
- functional strategic initiatives - Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and grow
- performing teams - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s preferred
- A strong grasp of business levers and organizational dynamics in a global context
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Strategic Development Senior Director – Global Practice Areas and work in close partnership with BCG’s Global PA Executive Leadership Team. You will collaborate across functional and industry leadership teams, regional leaders, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to drive and align on the firm’s most pressing strategic initiatives. You will lead both the Strategic Projects core team and oversee the flexible project talent pool.
