ISTO. is looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to work directly with the founders across all key areas of the business. This is a generalist role for someone who is analytical, resourceful, and excited to get their hands dirty. You will be involved in strategy, operations, reporting, project management, and internal
- solving, with real exposure and ownership from day one.

You will help turn ideas into plans and plans into execution. This is not just about analyzing data, it is about helping move the business forward.

This role will grow as ISTO's operations scale. Over time, you will have the opportunity to take on more leadership and strategic responsibility depending on your performance and the company's trajectory.

This is a
- time,
- site role based in Lisbon. While hybrid flexibility is possible,
- person presence is expected most of the time to ensure close collaboration and fast execution. This is not a remote position.

If you are not currently based in Portugal, we are especially interested in profiles from Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, or the United States. We value candidates who live in Portugal or have lived here before and understand the brand identity.

You Will:

• Support the founders on
  - functional projects across
  - commerce, retail, operations, and growth
• Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs and operational metrics
• Drive analysis that leads to action by identifying problems, proposing solutions, and helping implement them
• Create structured memos, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Help manage key initiatives such as process improvements, system rollouts, or cost optimization
• Coordinate with teams across logistics, marketing, finance, product, and retail
• Take ownership of
  - off problems that need to be solved
• Help keep the company organized and moving forward, especially when things get messy

What We're Looking For:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, venture capital, or startup environments
• Degree from a top university, preferably in business, economics, engineering, or other analytical fields
• Strong analytical skills and experience building dashboards or models using tools such as Excel, GA4, Notion, or Looker
• Excellent written communication skills including the ability to write strong memos, project briefs, and structured proposals
• Resourceful and
  - oriented mindset, focused on solving problems not just identifying them
• Comfortable working in a
  - moving and
  - on environment
• Fluent in English, with fluency in Portuguese considered a strong advantage

Bonus Points:

• Business or MBA background
• Experience in
  - stage startups or
  - scaling teams
• Exposure to the fashion industry or a strong interest in consumer brands
• Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, or analytics tools
• Strong
  - writing and presentation skills using Google Slides, Notion, or Figma
• Passion for product, design, or sustainability
• Based in Portugal or with past experience living here
